Babylonstoren Farm, Franschhoek
Babylonstoren Farm makes me positively giddy. It is a completely magical piece of paradise, a little garden of Eden, which lies in the Drakenstein Valley between Franschhoek and Paarl. Surrounded by the Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof and Franschhoek Mountains, Babylonstoren is in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Babylonstoren is one of the best preserved farms in the Cape Dutch tradition. Historical buildings have been perfectly preserved and some of the old original buildings are used to host the most magnificent weddings. Babylonstoren offers you an exceptional canvas upon which to paint your memories of an unforgettable occasion. A photographer’s absolute dream!
Emile proposed to his gorgeous Simona in the gardens of this beautiful place. These two went back there to tie the knot on one of the most perfect summer days in Cape Town. Babylonstoren is known for its farm-to-table organic produce, from the waterblommetjies used on the tables as decor to the fruit and veg platters sereved at dinner, everything comes out of Babylonstoren’s incredible gardens!
